HL Inclement Weather - Closed 02.21.25

Due to freezing temperatures expected overnight through mid-morning and road conditions that may make some secondary roads unsafe for travel, Cumberland County Schools (CCS) will be closed for students on Friday, February 21, 2025. CCS employees will work remotely on Friday, and essential staff will receive additional guidance from their supervisors. District staff have carefully assessed the roads and are prioritizing the safety of our students, staff and families.

Students following the Traditional calendar will make up this day on Friday, March 14, 2025. However, students following other calendars, such as early colleges, Cumberland Polytechnic, and year-round schools, have sufficient instructional time built into their schedules and will not need to make up this day.

All district events and after-school activities, including athletic practices and competitions, scheduled for Friday are canceled. The Prime Time Before and After School Program will be closed, and CCS schools and office buildings will also be closed, with employees working remotely. Students enrolled in classes at Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College or College Connections should contact their instructors for specific guidance.

Additionally, the server issue reported earlier today has been fixed, and the CCS email system, Canvas, and other affected applications are now up and running.

For more information and updates, visit the district’s website or follow CCS on social media.
