Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is excited to announce the release of its 2024 Annual Report. This comprehensive document showcases the district's numerous achievements, innovative programs and dedicated efforts to ensure educational excellence for every student.

Highlights from the 2024 Annual Report include:

Celebrating the Class of 2024: More than 3,500 graduates have shown exceptional resilience and determination, with many earning significant scholarships and college credits, and pursuing diverse paths in higher education, the military and careers.

Innovative Educational Programs: The launch of SparkLab at Douglas Byrd High School provides students with hands-on experiences in high-tech fields like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

Support for Military Families: For the fourth consecutive year, all CCS schools received the N.C. Purple Star Award for their commitment to supporting military-connected students and families.

Focus on Mental Health: Introduction of the Alongside mental health support app offers 24/7 access to resources for students in grades 6-12.

Premier Professionals: Recognition of outstanding educators and staff, including Dr. Marvin Connelly Jr., being named the 2024 A. Craig Phillips North Carolina Superintendent of the Year.
