* Letters sent home in October
Some students are not in Parent Link and these letters are our only way to communicate with parents. This letter is to inform parents our charge limit has changed from $30 to $15. Many of our students are in danger of receiving alternative meals.
* New Cafeteria Software
CNS has switched to new software for operating the cafeterias, including the Point of Sale Systems. Please be patient as the staff get comfortable with operating the new Point of Sale (registers). The lines may be a little slower than usual for the first few days of school. Using scannable barcode student identification cards can help speed up the lines, if they are available.
Along with the new software operating the registers, we have also changed to new online pre-payment and meal application sites for the parents. See information below for details.
* Free and Reduced Meal Applications:
The paper applications should have been delivered to your front office by the cafeteria manager last week. The applications should be included in your student beginning of the year paperwork packets. Also, we ask that you remind teachers to turn in the applications DAILY to the cafeteria manager in order to avoid delaying the processing and students receiving meal benefits.
Parents may also submit applications online, but we have a NEW application site - www.MySchoolApps.com. This is a much quicker way to submit the applications and get them processed. Please consider sending a message to parents through your social media accounts to encourage using this quick and easy method to apply for free or reduced meals.
* New Online Prepayment Service for Cafeteria Accounts:
Child Nutrition has changed only prepayment services. The new online service is www.MySchoolBucks.com. The service includes an app that can be downloaded to a mobile device for easy access to check balances, load funds, and monitor purchases. Any fund balances that existed at the end of last school year remain on the students' accounts in the cafeteria.
* Meal Prices:
Meal prices remain the same as last school year.
Breakfasts: Free for all students.
Lunch (6th-12th Grade): $2.75
Adults: A la Carte
