Battle of the Books

• Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in 4th and 5th grade. Students read books that are pre-selected. They are tested on their knowledge of the books they have read. The student competitions are held at the county, district, and national levels. The club is sponsored by Ms. Smith.

Dance

• Are you ready to Step ! 

   Mustangs will perform routines to send a positive message to our school community. Our Mustangs will display positive messages through steps and dance to captivate their audiences. The club sponsors are

  Ms. Herman and Ms. Ford 

Men of Promise

• The Men Of Promise is a mentoring program for young boys in the 3rd through 5th grade. These Westarea Elementary students are mentored by community leaders and by members of our staff. The students and the mentors work on various activities and events throughout the school year. This club is sponsored by Mr. Goslee and Mr. Hollingsworth.

Military

• The Military Club is open to Westarea Elementary students who have parent(s) on active duty in the military.  Students gain support, make new friends, and go on virtual trips to meet other military families! This club is sponsored by Mrs. Owens.
