Welcome to John Griffin Middle School, a North Carolina School to Watch, where continuous student achievement is our goal. Through a partnership with parents, community, and business leaders, we are committed to serving a diverse population of over 1,000 students by providing a safe, nurturing environment. All students are engaged in challenging academic assignments and extracurricular activities that foster high academic growth. Furthermore, students are encouraged to become self-directed, lifelong learners and productive members of society.

As we strive for continuous improvement at John Griffin Middle School, the faculty and staff constantly seek professional growth opportunities to lead the current transition to Common Core State Standards. We do our best to provide a comprehensive educational program that increases student achievement and performance.
