Cumberland County Schools’ (CCS) Work Perks

CCS' Work Perks Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions

The Cumberland County Schools (CCS) has more than 6,300 employees who work hard every day for students throughout the school system. Because what they do is valued, an effort is being made to seek out businesses and community members who share in this appreciation. The CCS’ Work Perks program offers businesses in the Community who share exclusive discounts and incentives to CCS’ Employees, FREE advertising on the CCS’ Intranet Portal and on Edmodo (the school system’s internal social media).

Q. Who qualifies?
A. Any organization, company representative, or an individual, who wishes to exclusively share discounts/incentives/coupons etc., with CCS’ employees may qualify for this opportunity.

Q. How can I share a discount with CCS’ employees?
A. To share a discount exclusively with CCS’ employees, one must electronically submit the following information for approval to Communications & Public Relations (CAPR) Secretary/Web Manager Laurie Pender at Lpender@ccs.k12.nc.us or by fax to 910.678.2606:

  • Business Name
  • Business Location/Address
  • Business Website Address
  • Contact Person/E-mail Address/Phone Number
  • Detailed Offer/Discount/Printable Coupons exclusively for CCS’ employees (flyer, if available, in Word format) if not, e-mail a copy of your company logo

A. Businesses approved to participate in this program will receive the following:

  • Increased business exposure
  • FREE advertising on the CCS’ Work Perks Website (located on the CCS’ Intranet Portal) to include a business listing, link to your Website, and publication of exclusive offers to employees
  • Submission posted on Edmodo, a School Board-approved social media site for employees

Note: If during the year, your business holds a special event or promotion for educators, e.g., Teacher Appreciation Week, Administrative Professionals Week, Educational Bosses Week, etc., businesses are encouraged to make CAPR aware so that CCS’ employees can be informed of this opportunity.
