Image of the Driven 2 Excel LogoWHAT IS D2X?
The Beasley Media Group’s “Driven 2 Excel” program is a community enhancement campaign designed to reward high school seniors in Cumberland County who achieve high levels of academic achievement and exemplary attendance records throughout the 2016 – 2017 school year. In conjunction with the Cumberland County School system and other community partners, Beasley Media Group has joined with Fayetteville Kia and Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union to reward qualifying students with fantastic incentives for scholastic performance.

Save the following dates:

Mid-Year Celebration – Thursday, February 16, 2017
(Inclement weather date – Thursday, February 23, 2017)
End-of-Year Celebration – Tuesday, May 16, 2017

HOW DOES D2X WORK?
Beginning in July of 2016, Beasley Media Group will launch the fifth annual “Driven 2 Excel” program. High school guidance counselors and social workers will be given details of this year’s program at the beginning of the school year and have specific information regarding each student’s eligibility. They will be encouraged to find unique ways to promote the program.

To qualify for the program, a student must have no more than five absences during the school year and achieve a weighted, cumulative G.P.A. of 3.2 or higher during the qualification periods. Qualifying students will be invited to attend an exclusive, invitation-only celebration where the giveaways will be awarded.

The Grand Prize of a 2016 Kia Soul from Fayetteville Kia will be given away at the end of the 2016 – 2017 school year during the event finale.

DOES THE BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP HAVE ACCESS TO MY SON OR DAUGHTER’S PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Beasley Media Group is providing the advertising and the manpower in conjunction with our community partners as well as some of the incentives for the program.

Neither Beasley Media Group nor any of their community partners have access to students’ names, grades, addresses, etc. Only the Cumberland County School system has access to student information and will not provide any of this data to Beasley Media Group or any of their community partners. For this reason, it is imperative that your son or daughter see his or her guidance counselor as soon as possible to verify his or her eligibility status.

Eligibility of the qualifying students will be determined through the high school guidance counselors and social workers over two reporting periods. At the end of the first semester, high school guidance counselors will send a notice of eligibility home with qualifying students acknowledging their achievement. A similar notice will be sent home with the students that remain eligible from the start of the second semester through the end of the 2016 – 2017 school year.

HOW DO I SIGN MY SENIOR UP FOR THE PROGRAM?
Students do not need to sign up for the program. Qualifying students are automatically invited to participate as long as they achieve the minimum performance standards.

WHAT CAN QUALIFYING STUDENTS WIN?
Beasley Media Group, in conjunction with the Cumberland County School system, Fayetteville Kia and other community partners will host an invitation-only event for the qualifying students and their parent/guardian.

Beasley Media Group will supply entertainment from four of its FM radio stations and recognize the students’ academic achievements. Prize winners, who will be determined by random drawings from qualified students that are in attendance at the event, can win items such as laptop computers, movie tickets, t-Shirts, concert tickets, various “free food” vouchers, college scholarships from Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union or even a 2016 Kia Soul from Fayetteville Kia. Students AND parents/guardians MUST be present at the final event to win the car.
