Superintendent Update

The Cumberland County Board of Education welcomes comments from the public and provides numerous opportunities for citizens to voice their opinions on issues that affect public education. Persons who wish to share public comments with the full Board may do so at the regularly scheduled meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. A public comment period is held at the beginning of each regular board meeting.

Public comment submissions will be read aloud by staff during the meeting. Comments are limited to three minutes per submission, and a maximum of 30 minutes will be devoted to the public comment portion of the agenda. Individuals may sign up using the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/yP6G3Emks84qPCH62

Citizens may also choose to watch various Board committee meetings during which Board committees receive information and consider agenda items for recommendation to the full Board. Board committees are as follows: Curriculum, Personnel, Student Services/Activities, Budget/Finance, Policy/Student Assignment, Legislative and Auxiliary Services. Above all else, the Cumberland County Board of Education serves our community. In assuming responsibility for the entire school district, these elected officials act in all measures, in the best interest of the children of the CCS. The “Contact” link on the Board Website is in place to ensure that the Board is available to receive input from its constituents at all times. Feel free to contact any Board member in person or by writing, on any subject related to the CCS or public education in general.
