Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, children of active duty service members who reside on Fort Bragg and are eligible to attend Cumberland County Schools and may seek to enroll in any comprehensive high school within the district by completing the Fort Bragg High School Election Form.

For the fifth consecutive year, CCS was recognized with the State Superintendent's Purple Star Award by the NC Department of Public Instruction for implementing military-friendly practices and demonstrating a strong dedication to the unique needs of students from military families.

For the fourth consecutive year, the STARward STEM EXPO showcased 16 student teams from seven elementary, middle and high schools. Over the past three years, more than 170 teams and 1,000 students have competed, inspiring the next generation of space explorers and innovators.
