CCS is offering another option for families who want to receive meals for their children, but for various reasons are unable to visit a meal site. Beginning October 13, Child Nutrition Services will be distributing five-day meal bundles on Tuesdays. Meal bundles must be pre-ordered. To reserve a meal bundle, parents and caregivers will complete an order form weekly, selecting the pick-up time and location. Quantities are limited and will be provided while supplies last. For families who are not participating in the five-day meal bundle option, the district will continue to provide daily ready-to-eat meals for children 18 years and younger. Each child may receive one breakfast and one lunch per day. For more information about the five-day meal bundles, visit http://bit.ly/CCS5DayMealBundles.

Please note the following updated information and expectations for [email protected] remote learning. As always, the protection of student privacy and confidentiality is a paramount concern.
— While parents and guardians are always permitted to observe live online instruction in a non-disruptive manner, [email protected] remote lessons, and classes are the copyrighted property of the Cumberland County Schools (“CCS”), and may not be recorded, screenshot, photographed or distributed by either parents/guardians or students, without the prior written consent of CCS.
— In addition to potential copyright violations, reproduction or distribution of CCS remote lessons and classes may result in violations of other state or federal laws, such as prohibitions against cyberbullying.
— Parents/guardians and other household members who do not normally observe day-to-day classroom activity and interaction in the traditional, school building setting are expected to maintain the confidentiality of personal or private information, such as a student’s disability status, which may be inadvertently disclosed or discovered in the course of permitted observation of remote lessons and classes. Cumberland County Schools appreciates the understanding and cooperation of our families during this unprecedented time.

Finally, CCS’ Student Services Hotline has been reactivated. The hotline number is 910-475-1950 and is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. This service is provided for CCS students in need of social-emotional support. Calls will be answered by CCS School-based Review Consultants and the Military Family and Youth Liaison. For emergencies, call 911.

As always, visit the CCS Website for additional information about happenings in the district.
