Fayetteville, NC – Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cumberland County Schools Prime Time before- and after-care program will not be operating its usual summer camp this year.

“The safety of our children is our number one concern,” said Minda Fleishman, director of CCS Prime Time. “We love our children and we would never want them or our employees placed in harm’s way.”

In lieu of camp, Fleishman said that Prime Time staff will be posting fun summer activities on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CCSPrimeTime/ that parents can use to engage their child during the summer months.

Also, in closing out the 2019-2020 school year, she said that Prime Time parents can expect to receive notification in the coming days relating to when they will be able to pick up their child’s medications.

The district closed its doors to students on March 16 after Gov. Roy Cooper’s order to close all public schools to limit the spread of COVID-19.
