Image of #GoBeKindCCS logo in bold black font with lighter hashtag in the backgroundIn alignment with National Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week observed from February 16 – 23, 2020, Cumberland County Schools will be recognizing February 2020 as “Kindness Awareness Month.” In 2017, CCS reframed the “anti-bullying” campaign into a message about the power of kindness. Over the last three years, the message has evolved from creating kindness slips in our schools to a community supply drive and adding a yearly CCS community talent/art show displaying an individual’s gifts as a way to share joy. Additionally, CCS is proclaiming Thursday, February 20, 2020, to be CCS Kindness Day. For questions, please contact Kristy Newitt at 910-678-2402 or by email at kristennewitt@ccs.k12.nc.us.
