Leaders from across the Cumberland County Schools (CCS) joined together this week at South View High School for the district’s annual leadership retreat. The theme, “Charting the Course,” was evident throughout the retreat, as leaders received professional development, discussed important topics and began preparations for the 2019-2020 school year.

Participants were able to learn about CCS’ new Learning Model, which focuses on helping schools provide dynamic learning environments, compelling instruction and meaningful learning experiences to all students.

“This time of year, it’s important that we take time to ensure all of our administrators, principals and school leaders are equipped with everything they need to plan for a successful year,” said CCS’ Superintendent Dr. Marvin Connelly, Jr.
