Local Schools Advance to State Finals

image of NCASA's logo on outline of North CarolinaCongratulations to three local schools for advancing to State Finals in the NCASA’s (North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities) Art Showcase.  Massey Hill Classical High School took 3rd-place honors and Terry Sanford High School grabbed 4th-place honors in the East Regional competition for high schools.  Meanwhile, Seventy-First Classical Middle School received 1st-place honors in the East Regional competition for middle schools.  This year’s prompt was Selfie: No Filter.  These local schools will advance to the February 9 State Final hosted by Northwest Guilford High School.  All works will be shown live at the State Final and will be open to the public for viewing from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. The Association received more than 300 works of art from 70 schools across the state.
