Community members pose for photoIt was ten years ago that the Cumberland County Schools’ Social Work Department and the Cumberland County Register of Deeds office staff began a  collaboration to ensure that homeless students begin the school year prepared with necessary school supplies.

On August 22, 2018, Dr. Connelly, CCS’ staff, and other community stakeholders joined Mr. Lee Warren who presented 650 backpacks filled with school supplies to be distributed to homeless students in each of our schools. Community partners representing elected officials, local businesses and organizations were also on hand. We extend a thank you to Lee Warren and his staff for their ongoing commitment to homeless children in our community.
