CCS’ Employees Among ICL Graduates

Congratulations to the following CCS’ employees for recently being applauded as graduates of the Institute of Community Leadership (ICL): David Barrett, a teacher at Terry Sanford High School; Sonja Brown, the data manager at Spring Lake Middle School; Derrell Handberry, a receiving clerk at Operations; Justin Hall, the maintenance dispatch at Operations; and Ocie Stroud-Melvin, a criminal justice teacher at South View High School. The six successfully completed the leadership training class. ICL is Fayetteville and Cumberland County’s joint community leadership program designed to identify, develop, and, empower community members who want to participate in activities that lead to community leadership, volunteer service, and membership on local boards and commissions.

**PLEASE NOTE: ICL Participant applications for Class XV (2018-2019) are currently being accepted. To learn more about ICL or to complete an application, visit www.leadership4us.org. The application deadline is July 17, 2018.
