Local Student Wins First Place in the 2018 Congressional Art Competition

First Place in the 2018 Congressional Art Competition Massey Hill Classical High School student Deanna Glus recently won First Place in the 2018 Congressional Art Competition for her artwork entitled “A Hometown Feeling”.  

Her artwork will be displayed in a busy corridor of the U.S. Capitol complex for one year, representing North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District.  Having won the Congressional Art Award, Deanna will receive a scholarship offer from a prestigious arts university. Ms. Glus and a guest will be flown to Washington, D.C. to attend the national reception and view her artwork in the Capitol.

Please congratulate Deanna for representing our school, city, county, district, state, and country so well. Thanks to everyone for your tremendous support!
