Jack Britt student, Anna Buzzard, chosen for prestigious Leadership ProgramCumberland County Schools (CCS) is proud to announce a participant in the Francis Hesselbein Student Leadership Program. Francis Hesselbein Student Leadership Program is designed to highlight students that display great leadership potential and will deliver the knowledge they learned to sustain their school’s Student 2 Student (S2S) group. The leadership program is held twice a year during the Fall and Spring semesters. The exclusive leadership program only chooses 12 students worldwide to participate in the life-changing experience each semester.

Cumberland County Schools’ very first participant’s name is Anna Buzzard from Jack Britt High School. Anna will join 11 other students in Colorado Springs at the United States Air Force Academy in April.  She has vast experience with S2S groups over the multiple PCS moves she has experienced as a military child. Anna is currently the President of the S2S group at Jack Britt High School where the club actively meets and greets new transitioning military students. She is in 11th grade and plans on majoring in occupational therapy at UNC Chapel Hill.
