Mr. Tim Kinlaw, Interim Superintendent is presenting a plaque to the 2018 Mentor of the Year, Roy L MayhewDuring the Cumberland County Schools’ Mentor Appreciation Breakfast on January 24, Roy L. Mayhew was announced as the 2018 Mentor of the Year!  The school social worker at Luther “Nick” Jeralds Middle School was selected from eight other nominees who have worked to make a difference in the life of a child by mentoring Cumberland County School students.

During the Breakfast, the guest speaker, Cumberland County Commissioner Glenn Adams, applauded all of the nominees for the dedication and time they have given to their mentees and credited each one with “changing a life — one child at a time.”
