CCS’ Educators ‘Tech-A-Vacation’

J.W. Coon Elementary School educators Regina Blanding and Samantha Talerico say their participation in CCS’ Tech Camp 2017: ‘Tech-A-Vacation’ has helped them “embrace our Geek.”

The two educators happily joined more than 200 others from across the County at Gray’s Creek High School to become acquainted with the latest innovative tools and practices in digital teaching and learning. According to organizers, participation in the Camp “was strictly voluntary.”

The June 20 – 21, beach-themed event boasts 98, one-hour technology sessions led by 37 presenters. Exploring Virtual RealityRolling into Robotics, and Tweet Chats Are Not for the Birds are just a few of the session titles for the standing-room-only offerings. Many of the ‘tech campers’ are enjoying learning about green-screen technology, virtual-reality goggles, coding using Spheros and so much more!

Because of the Camp’s success, organizers have already begun planning next year’s event.
