Seventy-First Classical Middle School Earns Prestigious Challenge Cup

SFCMS - NCSSM Challenge Cup 2017-18Fayetteville – On Monday, May 8, 2017, Seventy-First Classical Middle School (SFCMS) was announced as the winner of the 2016-2017 North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities (NCASA) Challenge Cup for small middle schools at the Association’s Annual Meeting in Winston-Salem, NC. The award was accepted by Ms. Patricia Ramos, Principal of SFCMS, on behalf of the school.

The Challenge Cup is awarded based on students’ participation and excellence in various middle school competitions. SFCMS won this prestigious award after earning 320 points in activities including Art Showcase, Battle of the Books, Chess Club, Envirothon, Forensics, MathCounts, Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, and Show Choir. 

This is the second time in three years that SFCMS has earned this recognition. 

The school will hold a special celebration on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. where participating teams and students will be recognized for their achievements.
