Integrated Systems Technology Academy LogoJeffrey Collins and Antonio (Tony) Capelo of the Jack Britt Integrated Systems Technology Academy were awarded First Place in the Inaugural Emerging Leaders STEM Competition hosted by AFCEA at the Crown Coliseum.  The first place winners received $500 and a Dell Laptop for presenting their Field Research Project, Solar Strips.  This was a wonderful opportunity for students in the region to have professionals, leaders, and experts from the Army, DoD, and Industry to hear what they are doing in schools and clubs during the year.  Jeffrey said, “There were many competitive teams with amazing projects and sponsorships from places like UNCW.  Antonio (Tony) said, “The vendors at TechNet showed innovative pieces of technology that were mind-blowing.”  This is an awesome opportunity in which future Cumberland County students can participate by presenting their innovative ideas in an international venue.
