Exceptional Children’s Beginners’ Day

Children standing with alphabet letters.The Cumberland County Schools’ Early-In Special Education Preschool Program will hold its annual Exceptional Children’s Beginners’ Fair on Thursday, April 6, 2017. The fair will be held at the Educational Resource Center located at 396 Elementary Drive in Fayetteville from 5:15 – 6:45 p.m.

The evening will consist of an overview of the Kindergarten transition process and an explanation of the various Kindergarten curriculums. School-age program specialists and teachers will be available to answer your questions and discuss curriculum, IEPs, expectations, and environments to help facilitate your child’s transition to kindergarten.

Parents will get answers to the following questions:

  1. What can I expect in Kindergarten?
  2. What Kindergarten environment is right for my child?
  3. How will the new school know about my child’s special needs?
  4. How will I know where my child will go to school and when to register?
  5. What do I need to take to the new school?
