2016 Joint Talent Hunt Program Announces WinnersThe Fayetteville/Fort Bragg Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. which include Beta Chi, Tau Gamma Gamma, and Delta Gamma Chapters, recently held their annual Omega Talent Hunt at E. E. Smith High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  Seven of Cumberland County’s promising high school students competed in this year’s competition.  Awardees were presented an Achievement Certificate along with a monetary award.

 

Desrean Smith from South View High School won Third Place, Megan Parker from E. E. Smith High School won Second Place, and Julian Veney from Pine Forest High School won First Place. Julian Veney will move on to compete at the Mighty Sixth District’s Talent Hunt which will be conducted in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in April. The other talented participants were: Asa Oates from Cumberland International High School, Sharonda Richardson from Cumberland International High School, Jasmine Hannon from Reid Ross Classical High School, and Taylor Collins from Jack Britt High School. These contestants brought a myriad of musical talent to the stage ranging from classical instrumentalists to classic vocals.
