They decided to help the city of Fayetteville by providing them with snowmen since the winter of 2012 hasn’t produced enough snow to make a decent snowman. Students were called to action by the fictitious ’ Snowman Construction Company’ and asked to build a snowman using of the list of materials provided. Students could choose from a variety of items to help make their snowman the best of the best. However, conditions still applied. Snowmen could cost no more than $25 (fake money) from the materials list, and the snowman could weigh no more than 50 pounds due to the weight limit of the delivery truck. Using their skills of adding money and weight, students produced snowmen that exceeded anyone’s expectations! Students also had to prepare a sales pitch to convince their peers why their snowman was the best fit for Fayetteville. Overall, the Snowman Construction Company was a success! Who knows, maybe these snowmen will bring Fayetteville some real snow soon |
